Prep Rugby goes Gaelic

St Joseph’s Prep from Philadelphia arrived in Galway on the latest leg of their extensive rugby tour of Ireland but would they be ‘prepared’ for Gaelic Games?
Yes as it turned out, as despite this being a first taste of hurling and gaelic football for the vast majority of the students and leaders, they quickly adapted to both games.
The three hour session finished with two gaelic football games, and with bragging rights at stake, they proved highly competitive as Coach Dugan masterminded a victory for the Blues while Garrett produced a MVP display to lead the Oranges to victory.
Thanks to all the students and leaders from St Joseph’s Prep for their enthusiasm despite a hectic rugby schedule, Fr. Griffin’s Éire Óg GAA Club, the Harbour Hotel and of course tour guide Steve and Irish Rugby Tours for all their assistance.
